Sprout Studio began not in a studio, but in a living room in Dubai — with two curious toddlers, a stack of paper, and a mother determined to turn an uncertain season into something beautiful.

This book began in one of those ordinary moments of extraordinary disruption that life sometimes hands you without warning. I'm a mother of twins, and when their nursery in Dubai suddenly closed, the structure that had shaped our days simply disappeared.
Long hours at home. Two energetic toddlers. Four walls. And a mother trying to keep pace with both their curiosity and their growing need for comfort and connection.
I am not a teacher. I don't have a background in phonics or early childhood education. I'm simply a mum who needed to find a way. So I started creating — loose sheets of paper at first, then larger and larger activity pages that I would stick directly onto the walls of our home.
Our living room became a learning space. Our hallway became a gallery of letters, sounds, and everyday objects. Each day, we would explore a different letter of the alphabet — how it sounds, what it looks like, and the familiar things in our world that begin with it.
But I didn't want learning to stay flat or passive. I wanted it to be felt. So alongside recognition and sound, I introduced colour, texture, and hands-on play. We used whatever we had — crayons, fabric scraps, stickers, paint — anything that turned a letter into an experience rather than just a symbol.
Over time, these wall-sized activities became our daily rhythm. A way to bring structure into uncertain days, and joy into learning that might otherwise have felt repetitive or rigid. My twins didn't just learn their letters — they explored them, touched them, and made them their own.
